Am I naughty? [somewhere my forum signature is "I'm not here to help I'm

As far as I'm aware a good pump can pull so well [above idle] that it can
produce bubbles that are in truth under vacuum; so they disappear on the
other side of the lift pump. This can manifest itself with a partially
blocked/poor fuel filter... I stand here waiting to be shot down :o)
