[Vwdiesel] installing block heater - tips?

I put the exact same plug in my 92 Eco. I used the
center hole as well but my head and turbo were off
when I was doing it, so I had lots of room.
I put a little high temp RTV on it as well.
The old plug came out pretty easy, but the previous
rebuilder of my motor put all new freeze plugs in, so
they were not in there for 15 years.
I chiseled through 1 side, made a whole big enough to
get a big screw driver in there and pried it out.
