[Vwdiesel] Diesel Aircraft Engines

I enjoyed the article about the WW2 diesel aircraft engine, but it wasn't the first. The German airships Graff Zeppelin & Hindi used Maybach diesel engines. I think some of the earlier dirigibles used diesels too, but not sure. Also, the Packard Motor Car Co made an air-cooled diesel aircraft engine in the 1920s for airplanes. I remember seeing one on display in the Franklin Museum, Philadelphia, in 1972. It has also been written up in one of the Packard Club publications.
