I think you might be referring to my situation.  Here is the link to

In short, my problem was with the relay.  Here is the part number for
my '84 Rabbit: 813 919 082A

If you 1) know that your pressure is adequate both at idle and at 2000
rpms, and 2) you have already replaced both senders, then I'd guess 
that your problem is with the relay. When verifying that your oil
pressure is good, make sure that your oil is fully heated up.
