[Vwdiesel] Oil light revisited

Bryan and others-

Can you tell me which spot in the relay panel that
this relay lives? Can anyone tell me if the system
used in an '86 TD Jetta is the same as the '84 Rabbit?
(IE, a relay is still used, not just something in the
instrument cluster.)

According to the pressure gauge in my cabby, all is
fine in the pressure department, but I get the
blinking light intermittantly. Sometimes at high RPM,
sometimes at low, sometimes it will stay off,
sometimes it will blink.

The sensors that drive the instrument cluster should
be the ones that came with the '81 Rabbit engine that
is installed in the '86 Cabriolet body with an '86ish
TD Jetta cluster. The cabriolet bentley doesn't
mention an oil pressure relay, but it also shows a row
of relays that it doesn't identify.

The light didn't blink when I first put the cluster
in.

Thanks,

David
