[Vwdiesel] Timing tool kit loaner?

  Did something happen to cause the current condition?  
Yup, uses the same tools except to rotate the pump you 
need a long allen or triple square (don't remember which) 
to get to one of the pump bolts.  I've done them by loosening 
and bumping the rear timing sprocket but it's time consuming 
that way.  Easy to get 180 off on the pump and get similar 
sounding symptoms.  Managed to do that somehow once.
