Thank you for the comments about Volvo diesels. My guess would be if you find a good running Volvo diesel, & you switch to a good quality synthetic oil like Amsoil, & address the cooling issues, you would have a reliable car. I rased these issues because I wondered how true they were. You can't always believe what you hear & I think this forum is more knowledgable than the other sources I heard from. From comments previously made, it sounds possible the shortened Volvo diesel engine life could be due to hot summers in much of Calif. plus the use of airconditioning when it is warm. More comments?
