[Vwdiesel] EGR valve started stock when?

Actually, I believe that some of the late Eco diesels had EGR but for  
certain the 1.9 AAZ had then in the 90's (engines we did not get in  
this country).  Much cruder than the ones on the engines today but  
the same basic concept.  Recycle some exhaust back into the  
combustion chambers to be reburned and to lower the nitrogen content  
of the combustion gases.  Lower NOx, less air pollution specifically  
ozone.  The AAZ that is sitting in my garage awaiting its  
installation into my Westy has EGR and it is from a 93.  Hayden
