[Vwdiesel] EGR valve started stock when?

That's interesting.  First EGR I saw on a VW was on the 97 Passat TDI.
My 97 Golf (1.9TD AAZ) has none. In fact, I was looking at a 1Z motor in 
a 96 Passat just the other day, and it had none.  I was suspecting it 
had a manifold from a AAZ installed (they are identical except for the 
egr.) This is on Canada cars, not US ones.
