  I also have generally used 2nd or 3rd.  I rarely get 
someone to tow me and don't want to go the distance 
needed to get a 4th gear start.  Of course Dad's is up 
hill all the way so there's a lot of places to coast start 
before I was screwed!  ;-)  If I didn't use 2nd I'd never 
get the revs.
