[Vwdiesel] Pan? splash guard? aerodynamic addition? What is it for?

Hi Mark;
	Sound-proofing was one of the suggestions I have found for the pans.
I could care less about the diesel noise but I'm hoping that by smoothing
out the flow of air under the chassis that I will see better mileage. Both
old VW mechanics I talked to had seen the pans on Dashers and if they had to
work on the cars they threw the pans away.

Are you on about the special diesel soundproofing? If it is then its very 
saleable. all those shields from mk1/2 Rabbit/golf Dasher/Quantum era are 
discontinued.

Dashae-Quantae are simply better all round than the golfs.
The only thing a golf does bertter is park in a 14 ft space.... :o)
