Use powdered Graphite and chase it with WD40, works good on every cable I've
done.

Subject: [Vwdiesel] lubin' the cable
82 diesel vanagon: accelerator cable is getting sticky. This cable is
obviously long - front of van to rear engine.
I've been spraying some Tri-flow (Teflon lubricant) on the engine side of
the cable and working it in (having one of my offspring pump the pedal) -
that helps for a few days, then gets sticky again. Still works, but will
stick above idle and occasionally at full throttle :0
Anyone have suggestions on a better lube to try?
Thanks (as always),
Chris
