[Vwdiesel] random VW anecdote

Thursday nights I usually have a late dinner with friends after 
practice.  So, this past Thursday after practice, we all left the 
restaurant to go our separate ways.  As I cut through an enormous 
shopping center parking lot, I saw several cars parked together, which 
was odd for 11:00PM.  As I passed by, I noticed that they were all A4 
Jettas and several were, as they say, "riced out".  I thought for a 
split second then whipped into an adjoining lot to turn back around.  It 
bears noting that I was in the old '85 Jetta TD with some crumpled sheet 
metal and showing every one of 311,000 miles.  I drove right up to the 
middle of the group with the engine purring like an asthmatic kitten, 
stuck my head out the window and hollered out, "Looks like I missed the 
meeting!" 

You know, they didn't invite me to come hang out. 



Must not have been the smarter, better looking set.
