That's another travesty of the automotive industry - where else can you
invest $20000 and have it worth nothing in 5 years?  No reason cars can't be
made to last 50 years if we built them right.  Zero incentive for the
automotive industry to do that though... and they're encouraged not to by
the regulatory climate in the name of "safety".
