[Vwdiesel] Head gasket thickness

A guy I work with told me about this site:

Basically, it is about grooving the cylinder head to
direct the flame front. He did it to the heads in his
500ish HP GM Turbo motor for his truck. He swears by
it, and says he got a few extra MPGs. He says that
the higher the CR, the better it will work, so it
would seem that a diesel engine would be well suited
for this.
I'm not sure I'd pull a head off specifically to
groove it in such a manner, but I think if I had it
off for some other reason I'd sure give it a try!
