  One of Jake's college papers was on this subject.  Something
like almost 90% of all particulates come from the environment 
and not diesels.  In fact a large portion of car produced 
particulates comes from gassers as well as diesels.  It's from 
where the rubber meets the road.  Ground silica as well as 
rubber bits.  Diesel exhaust is a very small overall part of it.
