I'm glad you mentioned CFL bulbs - I am embarassed to live in a country which has actually 
mandated their use, and will be banning incandescent lights in a few years! What a crock. 
Not only is more energy expended creating CFLs, disposal of them could create a toxic 
waste issue once the whole country starts using them. If they were really concerned about 
the environment, a proper disposal program would have been part of the process.
