[Vwdiesel] A3 Jetta: IDI or TDI engine?

Agreed.
With some tuning work, the 1.9td is okay, but out of the box in stock
tune, you would be hard pressed to know you are driving a 1.9td versus a
1.6 td.

I actually have both for sale. I've accumulated too many cars, they keep
following me home. Now I have a duramax to contend with too, so
something has to go or hang a dealer sign on the gatepost.

97 golf td
99 Jetta tdi.
Both are good runners, the golf is minty, the jetta shows it's years
much more so- the Jetta A3 Mexico build chassis were a rust magnet.

email me offlist if you are interested Gerry.
