[Vwdiesel] Freeze Plug Removal

I decided that I wanted to put a block heater in my
Cabriolet's engine, even though it is a gasser,
because I like having a warm engine immediately on
startup.

Well, the freeze plug isn't wanting to come out.  My
plan was to poke a hole in the middle and pry it out
with a fat screwdriver.  So far so good, except for
the pry it out part.  

It doesn't want to pry out.

So, wondering if any of you have any ideas?
