Been a long time but I THINK there is a maintence interval
for setting timing in between belt replacements. At least on
the 1.5, 1.6 diesels. Worst one I saw had 138K miles on the
never-been-touched car. Belt was slappy! New injectors,
some glow plugs, a new T-belt and a couple hard starts later
and it was as happy as any other diesel I'd worked on at the
dealer! That was about when I decided I REALLY wanted one!
