[Vwdiesel] Leaking Reservoir plug 81 Rabbit pickup

I had similar problem on my Jetta, it was from the rubber seal you plug the plastic reservoir into on top of the master cyl., 
  it was dribbling down and across to under one of the outlets, 
  I cleaned and reconditioned the rubber and it was fine.

One of the plugs is leaking under its base. How likely is the master cylinder to blame? The cylinder was a rebuilt unit. Can this plug be separately obtained?
