[Vwdiesel] First tank results are in, 43.72 MPG

[82 Diesel Westy]

Not to bad for the first tank, some of this fuel was
old and I was still farting around with air in the
fuel line, but that is all gone, motor is running well
except for the low oil pressure.  I am seeing no smoke
at all, so I think my fuel regulator screw is good. 
The was a rebuilt TD pump for 83 1.6TD Rabbit that has
never been used.  I am hoping to get her up to about
46MPG, same as my TDI.  I will run a few tanks and see
what I can do to tweek thing later next month.

The motor shows all the signs of a stuck pressure
relief valve in the oil pump.  I have 50-60psi when
cold oil and it slowly drops off to about 3psi as the
motor gets to operating temps, still running down the
highway at about 25psi.

So, I have a new TD oil pump from Autohaus, AZ.  The
gears are 36mm, I measured them when I got it as they
could not confirm on 068115105AN.  I will install it 
when I hit the 3K mark on the oil.
The oil pump was 66.74 by the by.
