[Vwdiesel] negative aspects of burning water

The most logical / practical solution right now would be a redundant system
- Take a Rabbit / Golf (or ideally a Lupo) and add electric drive to the
rear wheels.

As is, the rear wheels do nothing - most daily commutes are within range of
current electric vehicle capacity (30-40 miles). Do it with diesel
driveline in neutral. Then if you run out of capacity or need to go
further, run the car the regular way to get where you're going. Throw the
electric driveline in neutral, or maybe leave them engaged and recharge
while driving.

Additionally, in a step by step process you could set up your windmill to
recharge it at home, solar cells on the top to recharge the car while it
sits at work during the day, run the diesel engine on biodiesel and your
100% renewable (except for manufacturing) and very functional. Plus the
added security of redundant systems if something goes wrong.

You'd sacrifice trunk space for batteries, but realistically, how often
during your day to day commute do most people really need a trunk? Use the
back seat...
