[Vwdiesel] brakes locking up PROGRESS

  Only one I've seen was way back on an early Rabbit.  They're almost 
as different as a TD and an NA!  Instead of the MC being mounted 
on the firewall, there's an extension in place of the booster.  Then 
the vacuum isn't needed (unless you have vac controlled A/C) 
so there's no vacuum pump.  There's a block-off plate that 
has a gear mounted to it to drive the oil pump.  
  Has your booster gone to pot or is it a broken pedal mount
(fairly common on the A2 I hear) or a free-play issue like 
maybe the rod is on the edge of the MC piston rather than 
in the dimple in the center like it should be?
