I will check if I can, the A/C switch but it looks like I am out of luck if I have to buy one. I can & will salvage the throttle control cable from my 1980 Dasher parts car but it doesn't have A/C.

For the frayed cable, I have had good luck in the past with using solder to repair a
frayed section of cable. As long as the frayed section is not in a bend area (the solder
makes the cable too stiff to bend easily), it works great. The trick is to clean the
cable very well then try to get the frayed strands back into place. Then apply some acid
flux and apply solder a short distance to each end of the frayed section. Wipe it down
while hot and then if the cable is a little too big (due to solder buildup), use a fine
file or sandpaper to take down the diameter to fit inside the sheath.
