[Vwdiesel] HELP! Chipping '96 Passat

Got my chipset yesterday (then LATER got notice it'd been 
shipped!).  I pulled everything out and apart and went to 
swap chips.  The new ones are marked "H" and "L", the 
instructions clearly state to mark the old ones with such 
for swapping back but they don't identify how you KNOW 
which one replaces which!  I assume it means the one with 
the higher number gets the H and such but I'm not going to 
ASSUME on my ECU!
  Anybody done one that can help (or better yet done a 
set of Inmotion tuning's chips and knows EXACTLY what 
I'm supposed to do?  :-)
  Dad's chips were different and had explicit instructions.  :-P
I'm trying to get this all back together once instead of waiting 
for a reply from Inmotion and having to do it all twice (to get 
the car back running while waiting until probably Monday)  :-P
