Thank you all for your insight. Walking into a parts store to see it staffed completely with scruffy teenagers who think wing nuts are a party snack is really discouraging. I did, however, find a small mom & pop store and this guy is a colourful treat. Also wouldn't sell me what I was after: he too sent me on my way to find a continuous duty relay. I bought my next oil change supplies just for the courtesy he showed me.
