And because of the York, you may have to change the whole deal on the
compressor side- I bet it mounted where the diesel injection pump is
now. Look at the body of the car... does the mount land in the same
spot? If not, you will have to change the whole shebang. The mounts
are easy until you get to A/C. I put A/C into my caddy, when I
installed the 1.9td. The bracketry was a real fun deal. I wound up
cutting the gas bracketry so the engine to body connection could be used
from the old gasser that was in there, which allowed space for the newer
style radial pump mount and alternator. Have a look under the hood of
an A2 JEtta if you get the chance. I bet the alt and AC brackets are
very similar to the Q setup, with exception of the motor mount... which
on the motor mount you may be able to cut away the York part of the
existing gas brackets to allow separate fitment of the Sankyo brackets,
AND accomodate the injection pump.
Sound confusing?
heh.
I lived through it, it's not that bad :-)
