[Vwdiesel] Help me out, folks... 1.5D into '88 Fox

The compressor on the Fox and the compressor on the Dasher are the same
rotary type AC compressor, instead of the piston-type boat-anchor Yorks.
Both cars mount their AC compressors stock on the lower passenger side
of the engine, being longitudinal cars, with different alternator
positions. The Fox tucks the Alternator where the injection pump is on
the diesel, high and to the driver's side of the engine, while the
Dasher tucks it on top of the AC compressor. In the former setup, it's
driven off a belt with the waterpump, and used to tension the WP belt.
With the Dasher's setup, the AC compressor is driven by a belt, then a
separate belt runs from the AC pulley to the alternator, while the WP
runs on it's own non-tensionable belt.
I'll have to get under the car and see if the front mount is in the same
place with the Dasher bracket.
