[Vwdiesel] cooling system

There is a restrictor in the small hose a few inches from the tank, the 
orfice in that can get plugged, or more restrictored.  THe one with big 
flow may have the restrictor removed, or drilled out larger.

To verify a good water pump, just check bearings for play, and leakage, 
but if it was an impeller missing/broken the engine would heat up pretty 
quick, not like you describe Terry.
