  All you have to do is keep the end of the hose below fuel level 
in the bottle.  That'll keep it from sucking air back in or fuel from 
draining out and air replacing it.  
  It's highly doubtful you have air in the injector lines.  They pretty 
well won't run at all if there's air there.  Air in the pump, supply and 
return lines will keep enough fuel from getting injected though (or 
let in air).  Then it won't run.  
  The return line shouldn't be an issue while it's running though.  Only 
in between, when it's shut off.
