[Vwdiesel] Passat Battery

  Looks like the battery doesn't like the cold as well as I do.  Had 
to borrow the big charger from the orchard and boost start it 2 
of the last 3 days.  
  Before I go stand in the cold trying to think at the end of the day,
does anybody know if a group 48 battery fits in place of the spec'd 
group 41?  An online chart lists it as 7/8" longer and 11/16" taller.
Was in Wal Mart today and both are $66 but the 48 is 800CCA (CA? 
didn't put my glasses on) and the 41 was 650.  They even had a 49
(Audi 5KTD) for the same price!  :-)
