[Vwdiesel] More moving up in the world

Seems Hayden is not alone in this.

On Dec 21, I was stationary in a line of traffic, while 5 car lengths
from the intersection behind me, a truck was accelerating through the
intersection running a yellow light just moments before he noticed that
5 cars ahead the traffic was stationary with a 99 silver Jetta at the
rear of the line. Add to this, the truck, a 3/4 ton dodge cummins
diesel, had a mild 2" lift, just enough to get the bottom of the truck
bumper even with the top of an A3 Jetta rear bumper. I think he was
just lifting off the gas when he hit my car...

Surprising, the option to repair it was given to me by insurance, I
opted to take the cash, as it was fair I think, at 9K + my trinkets.
Just came back from Winnipeg on Saturday where a very low mile black
'05 B5 Passat TDI followed me home. There are only two left for sale in
Western Canada now, and I met the guy that has one of them. Hard car to
find, but pretty nice to drive. ESP works pretty slick on ice as well.
So far I'm impressed with it, but as usual, the dealer shop "service"
department that "serviced" the car leaves much to be desired. Just what
is the modern definition of service? The place that used to provide what
the dealer shop now provides was called a whorehouse, but it seems to be
called a "service department". I'm perplexed... Hope the car survived
it's 41000kms in the tender ministrations of the Winnipeg area VW
"service departments" without permanent harm, or catching anything nasty.

Hayden, you still selling tuning boxes?
