I'm glad it worked for you!!! I've been doing that to fix switches for
many years, and it will take care of most of them. One time I decided
to do it right and replace the heater fan switch in my Jetta. Within a
week the new one was having problems. I took it apart to see what was
going on and it was HORRIBLY corroded inside. I took it back and they
said that they see that fairly regularly, even though they're new,
because they're old stock. I got my money back and repaired mine. If
I'm going to be scraping contacts I'll do it on my own free one
instead of the expensive new one, thank you very much!! :) Though it
was from Halsey Import, so it wasn't all THAT expensive...
