[Vwdiesel] Really wierd stating problem

I watched drop from the battery to the starter/engine 
the drop was small.  Yep there could be an intermittent there,
but I'm pretty sure not.  The connections at the post
have also been verfied...there is less than .1 V drop on the
post during cranking.
