I note this Taylor aircraft comes from the UK. Modified automobile engines for aircraft are not totally unheard of. Liquid cooled Model A engines were modified for use in an aircraft called the Pitinpull, spelling may not be correct, & probably other aircraft as well. At the Grass Valley, Calif. air show last 7/07, I saw a new twin engined aircraft which uses two modified Mercedes Benz Sprinter diesels. Before WW-2, there was an airplane called the Taylorcraft which competed with the Piper Cub. The airplane showen in the UK eBay add is not the same.
