[Vwdiesel] diesel type2 bus and merceds engine?

Is it possible to put a tdi in a type 2 bus, if so what would one do about the transmission and what sort of options does one have. can any other transmission be used... has anyone ever mated the mercedes diesel to a vw bus or van? does it turn cw/ccw the same as the vw?
