Nice cars. The Early Quantum Santanas were built with Audi parts like
bearings instead of bushes...
Not sure of your diagnosis for low compression though:
Valve stem seals only control possible burning of engine oil...
Bent valve or burnt valve seat or tight shim will give low compression you
describe [as well as duff rings (low compression part of the analyses)]
