Sorry about the long text. I called the person and found out some things. I didn't know about the cracks being common. Thank you all for letting me know on that. 
 
On the waste gate thing I was asking about, it is a EGR valve that I was told to just leave off the air hose that runs it. 
 
On the injection pump I was told that earlier pumps had the diaphragm and latter ones did not. I do not. Could someone explain how to turn my pump up some if I wanted as I don't know how. I have only been in to diesels for almost 2 years so I am learning as I go. 
 
Last thing, one of the glow plugs is twisted off. I was told to take an easy out to it. I hope this will work but anyone else have any suggestions let me know.
