[Vwdiesel] hazard hysterics

  I've had similar problems after letting a car sit a few months.  Usually 
just takes turning on the 4-ways, working the turn signals a few times, and 
everything works fine for a long time afterwards.  Probably a dirty or sticking 
contact in the flasher relay, which often (always?) seems to be in the 4 way 
switch.
