Looks like Rob's got it if transport can be arranged.

Who would ever have expect such an uproar over a 16 year old, bathed-out old
diesel engine?

I'm looking for a repairable 65 amp alternator (as long as it's not a crispy
critter, I don't rewind.)  hopefully in the north-east. Dont need the
regulator or diodes.

Come to think of it, all I need is the stator in reasonable condition. (Damn
winter salt) 
That could travel parcel post. 
NEVER send anything across the Canada/US border by UPS, NAFTA is a sad joke.
Brokerage fees alone could be $60 for a ball-point pen !
