[Vwdiesel] IP bracket and sandwich plate oil cooler precautions

I need an IP bracket from a rabbit diesel so i can swap in a 91 jetta diesel motor to an 86 cabrio.
Of course i will pay for this item, i am not sure if 1.5 engine IP brackets would work, anybody
familiar with this.
Second, I am considering changing out the standard oil cooler on this motor with a sandwhich plate style and wondered if Yall had some precautions. It looks pretty straight forward. some plates have lateral terminals for oil temp and pressure gauge hook ups. I thought the  temp gauge would be usefull though expect to keep the orig oil pres gauge.
Just getting to some projects over the holiday weekend, wish all well. BTW-paid 5.17 for diesel in 
chicago this week, ouch!
