I'm not an expert or pretend to be... I'm not in the mood of convincing peolpe or being conveinced about anything ... I'm a peak oil believer. Why? Simple, as I have written previously, I am a mexican living in Mexico, our most important oil mantle peaked before 2000, the governement (PEMEX is the state owned company that explores/produce/transform the oil) injected nitrogen (still does) and Cantarell produce more oil until... 2003 the fall has been terrible... we export 300,000 barrels less per DAY... just in APRIL 2008 mexicna exports fall 13%
There are TWO options Chicontepec (another inland mantle with less quality oil) or drilling in the Gulf... even if the second option is viable ¿how long will it take to produce? ¿how much will it produce?
Yes, I'm talking about Mexico, your souther neighbors...
Maybe you think that the oil shale/tar sands/drilling ANWAR will bring oil/gas/diesel prices down... maybe you think OPEC are guilty... I don't
