  I hope that after all the trouble was solved, you switched back 
to a hotter thermostat.  Something between 180F and 190F.  Your 
engine will greatly thank you.
  I doubt a Quantum has that baffle (I'm presuming it's to split the 
tank in a cross flow radiator so that the coolant goes across it 
twice?)  The Quantum has an "old fashioned" vertical radiator I 
believe.
