Thanks Richard – putting in three washers on the upper hinge worked. The
upper hinge is loose though. Is there a way to fix or replace a rabbit door
hinge that has play?

I purchased a used door on EBAY for my truck to replace a rusted and dented
one. I am having a terrible time aligning the door --- I cant seem to get
rid of the very bad ½ inch door sag. I can shut the door by putting a lot
of upward pressure on the door, but when I lift up the door in the open
position and then tighten the bolts, it is still out of alignment. Any
tips?

Two maybe. Check the pin for wear. Also if possible insert a washer or
two in the joint the bolt go thru. You may need a longer bolt and quite
likely another hand or two for that. Got one on my 88 GTI fixed that way.
