[Vwdiesel] 2001 Golf intermittent blinker

It sounds like you might need a new wiper stalk.  They're around $50 or so at germanautoparts.com.  You have to remove the steering wheel which means removing (gasp!) the airbag, however there are plenty of DIYs online for that.  

Oh, btw, I have a new heater core for the TDI coming as well.  That's something I'm just oh so looking forward to.  The entire dash will be on my garage floor.  Wish me luck. :-D
