at about 105 to 125 lbft. Once the torque levels off, I halt each angular
step in fitting the cylinderhead. Retorquing to plastic at the next stage
seems limited to about 100 lb ft. That is why I suggest taking bolts to 90
lbft
[ I read somewhere that a bolt taken briefly into plastic range and left for
a while can actually get stronger than one torqued to it's final level all
in one go... Not sure if that applies to 'plastic' bolts or high tensile
ones though]
I can reuse the bolts simply because I haven't stretched the bolt very much
:o) Torquing slowly avoids hydrolock as the oil squelches out. Solid baked
crud is clearly another matter. A 12mm 'stretched by the book' bolt leaves
about 3 turns space at the bottom IIRC. My way of torquing to yield only,
leaves me more space...

Does anyone know how many teeth on a Quantum /Dasher flywheel? I have a
spare somewhere but it's buried under my obsessive collecting :o)
