  The timing sounds like it's off about how much you get when the 
timing advance knob is out when you set the timing.  That or when 
you set a yellow dot (1.15mm) to the other timing of that era (.88mm).
  I'd say it's retarded by a fair amount.  Make sure your advance 
lever is fully seated when the knob's pushed in. (cable adjustment)
  Oil pressure is low, not nastily low but...   Odds are it's the 
intermediate shaft bearings.  A 36mm oil pump would probably "solve" 
the low oil pressure while not actually fixing the problem.  For a 
while anyway.
