Age:  61
Learned to drive on my brother's 1960 Karmann Ghia with a 36 hp engine and
non-synchonized 1st gear tranny.  That forced a new driver to come to a
complete stop at stop signs...
After that:
1962 Bug in high school; it got a 1600 engine while I was attending
college.  Nice improvement
1965 Bug
1970 Bug (came with wife, not vice versa)
1976 Dasher gas
1981 Dasher Diesel (0 to 60 by June)
1981 Dodge Omni with VW engine (we don't talk about that one) inherited from
a relative who passed on
1988 Jetta II
1996 Jetta III
1999 Jetta IV TDI (#1 son still has it, 199,000 miles)
2003 Jetta TDI wagon
2003 Jetta TDI sedan
2003 Jetta TDI sedan (#2 son has it, 123,000 miles)
