[Vwdiesel] How old is everyone?

I made 60 in September and have been in "lurk" mode for a while.  I'm debating 
whether to sell the '82 Caddy (Rabbit P'Up.) which has the 1Y 1.9 diesel I rebuilt 
in '00.  Loren might remember when my brother and I gave the engine its initial 
cruise.  I've put all of 18,000 miles on it since (nicely broke-in).  It lives in 
the carport.  

Hmm ... started with '59 bug ragtop; then a '61 bug with '66 engine and tranny, '72 
loaf with single manifold supporting a Holley progressive linkage two barrel, '71 
loaf (best loaf IMO), '82 Rabbit pick-up with 1Y 1.9 (my first and only diesel), 
and the last acquisition a '90 Vanagon with '89 RV 1.8  26 MPG @ 70 MPH with 900 
lb. load (adjustable cam gear advanced 8° [one tooth] to lower max. torque RPM and 
the AFM wiper tightened two notches to cause ECU to signal less fuel than normal).  
I've built an e-bike and, with trailer, hope to transition to a no vehicle life-
style for my retirement adventure.
